Dujiangyan Delegation Visited Canada National Talent Service
On August 15th and August 16th, 2018, the delegation of City of Dujiangyan, China came to Canada and visited Canada national talent service for exchanges and investment promotion; pushing forward the collaboration among enterprises of Chengdu, Dujiangyan and Canada in finance, medical treatment, tourism and so on…
On the morning of August 15th, 2018, the Dujiangyan delegation and representatives of Canada National Talent Service have visited Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) together and had a meeting with Amanda Bell, the vice president of RBC. Dujiangyan municipal secretary Sheng Lu introduced economy, financial development and the opening-up of Chengdu, also welcoming representatives of RBC come to Chengdu for seeking the possibilities of establishing branches and offices in Chengdu and hope two sides can strengthen the collaboration in financial innovation, technology fields. Ms. Amanda expressed her welcome to the delegation and said that Chengdu is an energetic city and she would recommend the Beijing branch to have a visit to Chengdu for seeking the opportunities of collaboration between two sides.
On the same morning, August 15th, 2018, the delegation and the representatives of Canada national talent service visited the SickKids hospital in Toronto and had a meeting with Lara Pietrolugo, the director of international education and Haya-AI-Husseini, program coordinator of international learner program and international education. Secretary Sheng Lu expressed that he was very looking forward to the collaboration between Lippo Group and the SickKids hospital; two sides could take Dujiangyan international women and children’s hospital as the collaboration platform, carrying out the talent training and exchanges in medical treatment and healthcare; jointly building the center into the education and training base for national medical treatment and health-preserving industries, providing professionals for Dujiangyan and the whole country. Ms. Lara gave a brief introduction of the SickKids hospital and she said the hospital would customize courses according to the demands and the two sides could also exchange personnel for exchanges and study.
On the afternoon of August 15th, 2018, an awarding ceremony is held at the office of Canada National Talent Service and the ‘Overseas Dujiangyan’ Canada Promotion Station is set up. This is the 4th promotion station of ‘overseas Dujiangyan’ after the station in Cambodia, Indonesia and Germany. The establishment of ‘Overseas Dujiangyan’ Canada Promotion Station will further push forward the opening-up and cooperation of Dujiangyan, promoting the precise marketing and publicity of Dujiangyan in Canada, displaying the charm of the city with ‘three heritages’, and expanding the economy and trade exchanges to boost the construction of the international famous tourism city.
